Afaik, there is usually forward parking in all the car parks, all of which are on grass.
I wouldn't advise the car park that you enter off the lane that the Goodwood Hotel as that is very steep - aim for the fields down towards the motor circuit. If you absolutely have to have hard standing they park motorbikes down at the circuit and run a shuttle bus I believe, so you could try your luck there?

Drove straight in and out yesterday and today. Blue badge parking is right at the front of the car park and saw loads of courtesy vehicles ferrying people to the event. We had our two year old daughter in her pushchair yesterday and we were even offered a ride - and we didn't park in the blue badge area.

Traffic was surprisingly light yesterday (Even allowing for not arriving until 9 - Got half way there and remembered I'd not got our tickets! ).
We drove straight in and out, but the drive home through Midhurst was pretty painful.
I was on crutches for my first FOS and they let me park in the disabled section, although I wasn't 'registered disabled'. A nice man in a very swish Range Rover gave me lift to the main area and then back again in the afternoon.
Looks like the earlier poster's Dad was a tad unlucky in his experience.
