I'm camping nearby (a few miles away) and am thinking of going back and forth on my mountain bike (I know there aren't any mountains there, but I don't have a road bike!).

Does anyone know if there's somewhere safe-ish to lock bicycles up near the entry please?

You can't take the bike onto the site but there are always a few locked to the fence just outside. Plenty of people walking past all day so you should be ok with a decent lock

I've done it before, there is a lot of fencing at the entrances to lock it too, i am sure there will be many others there too.

If you are coming from Chichester - my advice would be to cycle to the motor circuit, lock your bike there & grab the minibus shuttle that goes from there upto the event & back all day. It's the shuttle for motorbikes that want to use the hard standing & helmet storage. It drops you right at the main gate!

Thanks Phomer. I've never been to the circuit itself, is there a particular main entrance to use?

I live in Chichester and been cycling up to FoS for YYEEAARRSS now. I cycle to the entrance near the start line by the hotel. At that entrance, there is meal fences/railing and I lock my bike up there......

I'll be at the helmet store on Friday & Sunday between 3-5pm (volunteering for the Richard Burns Foundation) If you have anything you don't want to carry round all day we can store it in the container there for you.

Brill, so I can put my cycle helmet etc in the store? That's superb news.
I'm assuming there's somewhere to lock a mountain bike to at the motorcycle area?

Thanks again all, PH is superb due to quality PH'ers. Magic.

Yeah, you can put your cycle helmet in there no problem, I dont think there are any specific places to lock your bike to, but there are a number of trees you could use.

Never (motor)biked to FoS before. Is there anywhere to actually get changed down at the circuit? Obviously I look cool as fk in biking gear but don't really want to keep it on all day. Happy to dive behind a tree if that's all there is.

Most guys just nip behind the container to change!
