Anyone been to the Moving Motorshow before?
Discussion
I have managed to get some tickets to the Moving Motorshow on Thursday, but having previously only attended the normal days of the FOS before, I am not quite sure how it works.
Do you only get test drives with the manufacturer who has invited you?
Are any of the normal FOS activities still going on?
I assume that there wont be runs up the hill, but will the display cars still be parked up, or do they only arrive for Friday?

Test drives should be booked before hand, although I believe some are available on the day if you get there early.
Yes there are other activities on, the live action arena, landrover/porsche demos and various other activities along with trade stands. You'll find all the info on the FOS website.
Theres no runs up the hill except the test drives, there will be a fair number of display vehicles there and more will arrive throughout the day.

I went last year and had a great day. Everything was open in the Trade areas and the Manaufacturers stands were there. A lot of the display cars were in their paddocks and some of the Formula 1 Teams were arriving throughout the day. The Supercar paddock was full and the displays in the arena were on all day. The Rally stages were open and cars were doing recces so good photo opportunity there. Only cars going up the hill were the Moving Motor Show. Although it is not quite the full FOS it seemed a more relaxing day to me and was quieter than the Saturday's I have been to before.
Any chance for an extra day at Festival is welcome. I use the thursday to get my bearings for the other three days, look at the shopping, Cartier Style et Lux and the pits. Definately an important part of my weekends enjoyment and not to be missed. Pics taken on last years moving motor show.
Plenty of great cars

Maybe I'm just a muppet (no dispute there...) but remember to take your driving licence if you want to drive the cars in the MMS and be bold - go and ask at the desks - we blagged quite a few drives on the day 2 years ago (go early!). Also good time to go on the Porsche experience - sideways 4 up in a Cayenne is not to be missed.
