So, the other half wants to go to FoS again this year, I tried 4 weeks before Christmas to find a hotel for Friday night, nada... Couldn't find anything within 40 miles that would accept a one night booking, they all wanted a full weekend.

Bu##er.

Mrs Megaflow just had a genius idea of camping, win, it's only one night and it's right on the door step. They only do a weekend camping ticket, never mind.

So, how much do you think a weekend, non electrified campint pitch is at FoS?

Nope, you are quite wrong.

Ready?

Are you sitting down?

Crazy, stupid prices but as people will pay it, it is market price.

Since you looked at hotels a little distance away - what about campsites a few miles away?

We're going the Saturday but don't need to worry about accomodation - live less than 25 miles away!

you could try the ship and anchor at ford pub with campsite about 8-9 miles from goodwood and walking distance from train station that will get you to chichester in 10 minutes and bus from there if you dont want to drive

A BUS! TO THE FOS!

Isn't that like turning up to your local Green Peace hemp party in a full fat Rangie.

Try the Carlton Hotel on the seafront at Bognor. Recently refurbished and reasonable.

I've just booked tickets for me and my son for Thurs/Friday so looking for a nearby campsite. Any recommendations?

I've not been for years and never camped, so I don't know what it's like these days but would prefer something on the quiter side if possible as I've got Flat6 junior with me..

I camped here last year and have booked in from Weds night through to Sunday night. Fairly quiet and relaxed, reasonable facilities, not a bad price.

Great stuff. Hope it's ok for you. Someone recommended it to me on PH last year and I thought it was ok.

Come on over and say hi, I'll be the bloke with the miniature caravan and Citroen C4 or if I can't get the French electrics to work on the towbar, it'll be a silver grey Z4MC and a pop-up tent!
