I just read this and was about to post and saw this thread. Very sad news, condolences to the Harrison-Moore family.

I was there but was spared witnessing the accident as my wife and I were in the shop. I have no desire to know any more about it and hope it does not become matter for discussion here. What the news may report is one thing but curiosity and speculation is another.
Condolences to her family and friends alike.
I wonder what may come of this for the circuit...revisions of any sort maybe?
I read somewhere that it wouldn't pass current safety legislation and that it is only allowed to function as is by virtue of historic status. Tragedy of this type is comparatively rare thankfully which may serve to throw a spotlight on this particular circuit.

Just to echo my post in the thread in the UK Motorsports section, my thoughts are with Sandra's friends and family, the rescue teams, the Lotus 7 contingent who were there on Saturday and the oganisers and marshals who dealt with the incident.
These things do happen in our sport, but we must learn from them so that, as far as we can, the same situation does not result in the same outcome next time.
Take care all..

Hopefully, no major revisions will be called for at Goodwood.
Although a not very palitable fact, there has been at least one other track day fatality at the circuit since it was "modernised" in 1998.
As a Caterham owner who has paticipated in Sprints and Trackdays at Goodwood, I would appreciate some sort of discussion and investigation into the cause of the accident - although the main ingredient seems to have been the very poor weather conditions.
And I think Ozzie's comments on the car are totally out of place.
By the way, there are at least two other threads on this subject in two other forums on PH.

Does anyone know how she crashed yet?
Not really important at this time. Let's move on. It was pretty bad on saturday and yes the Caterhams I saw were being very cautious around the chicane. What I would like to know though is whether other tracks offering track day experiences like Goodwood have also suffered fatalaties and whether any other tracks fare worse in this respect. As the signs say MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS!
