Hi all,

Really looking forward to Supercar Sunday and will be bringing a 'Car meet virgin' along for the ride lol. I've been telling about the run over there is always great but there doesn't seem to be a Convoy/pre meet thread running any where. Any one on here planning to do anything?

Bring on next Sunday ; )

I'll be coming over the bridge from sarf Essex so happy to meet up somewhere if suitable. Clackett Lane services any good as an opening gambit for a meeting point?

I'm aiming at M25, M23 and A27 going in then probably the A272, M23 and M25 cross country route back biggrin

Sound like a good idea to me. Anyone know of any good routes?

As I mentioned above I would lean towards M25, M23, A27 (with tunnel) on the way there just to ensure a sensible arrival time as it will get very busy c8:30 onwards. The alternative that I know of is M25, M23, A272 (nice cross coutry route with a few interesting bends and straight bits) and then either A285 or A286 to drop down into the Goodwood estate.

I'm happy to go either route to be honest if we can organise a sensible time to leave the meet point as it is always more fun in a convoy biggrin

I would suggest getting there a bit earlier than 8:30ish if you want to avoid the queues as the gates open at 8am & there's normally a queue well before that!

Leave Clackett Lane 6:30am with intention to arrive in Claypit Lane (outside circuit) bang on or just before 8am. Sound good to those of you who know the roads between meeting point and circuit?

I think we should aim to get to Guildford for 7, leave 7.15 at the latest. Also, best not to post routes on here as you don't want scamra's waiting incase you accidentally stray above the speed limit!

I've never been to a Supercar Sunday before, what sorts of times does it start getting interesting and then dying off again. Got to be back in central London by 2pm so trying to see whether it is worth it!

There's the link mate...It's all over at midday as it's part of the breakfast club meets they hold every month, but you can leave whenever; usually peaks around 10ish from what I remember from last year.

It's a shame these events are held so early in the morning. It pretty much excludes non-locals from attending unless we make a weekend of it. Designed to limit numbers I suppose?
