We've got a pitch booked with electric hook up and are trying to work out the best options. What are people's experiences in previous years? Facilities? Flat ground or rocky? Is the allocated pitch going to be big enough for 6? We're thinking of taking a few small tents and then having a gazeebo to cover the barbie etc. Or would it be best to take one larger tent given we only have a pitch size of 6x9 metres? How do they manage entry to the campsite - wristband? How far from the event is it?

Cheers.

hehe

Single pitch for six is fine.

The taped off area is two pitches. We had a 10 man tent, a 2 man tent, a merc sprinter camper van, a couple of cars, a sofa and a duck pond with no significant issue.

Facilities? I'm a glastonbury regular. It's got running water and toilets that are clean. It's 5 star in my book.

Nice one Mr E. How do they handle the entry to the site to prevent anyone just rocking up? Could we for instance, book the pitch (supposedly for 4) and sneak extra guests in?

What's the deal with the ammounts of people allowed, I've booked a pitch with power and am going with a mate, however we could have a third Person coming, is there a limit in the number of persons before having to pay extra?

So everyone has passes and the like checked before accessing the camping field?

Oxhead - it says on the website that the camping pitch is for 4 people. I've booked for 5 but had to pay an extra £50 for the fifth person. However I'm not entirely sure how they are intending to police the number of campers. My guess would be they issue wristbands.

Cheers for the reply! I gave them a bell earlier and they confimed what you said! 4 people allowed and adititional peeps at an extra cost, and 1 car per pitch, seems pretty reasonable when split between a few of you! Looking forward to it now! Never been before so don't know what to expect! Hoping for a few beers and a few BBQs with fellow petrol heads!

Plenty of that going on. Unfortunately we're not there this year.
