2012 Membership Packs

So the question is, are memberships now running March to February?
As mentioned above I believe they are. I am new to the club so didn't realise at the time I joined the membership period had changed as I paid in January but was told the membership would not commence until March and the packs etc would be sent out that month.I'm a GRRC new boy too, a very nice gift from Mrs.
I called and asked about the membership pack when we paid the fee, I was told that the period 'twixt December and March was essentially dead as there was nothing going on, so the stuff would be with us in time for the spring and the rebirth of stuff happening. They said that if I wanted to dine at The Kennels I could do that on the strength of the membership number on the acceptance letter.
Slightly petulance on my part as I wanted my GRRC sticker in the car for the Breakfast Club tomorrow morning, although looking at the weather forecast it looks like I might end up staying in bed, I don't want to drive all the way there and be disappointed AGAIN!

Just to point out the GRRC membership counts for zilch at Breakfast Club - no forward parking or anything, you'll be parked with all the hoi polloy.I called and asked about the membership pack when we paid the fee, I was told that the period 'twixt December and March was essentially dead as there was nothing going on, so the stuff would be with us in time for the spring and the rebirth of stuff happening. I'm a new joiner and believe that the previous membership period was January to December but that they have now moved to March to February for some reason.
Possibly to create better cash flow across the various memberships the estate offers?
Out of interest, when did you apply for membership? I've been waiting for some time now.Possibly to create better cash flow across the various memberships the estate offers?
We joined the waiting list at the Festival of Speed last summer. I guess the membership fills up to the limit every year then dips at renewal time when the invitations to cough-up are sent out.
Although my wife very generously paid for my membership this year, I can see that being in this little club is going to cost me dearly. Dinner at least once in The Kennels, Kinrara Enclosure rather than Joe-Public tickets at the F-o-S, Revival tickets (which we don't usually attend) plus themed outfits outlay. She's mentioned some May ball at least twice. Then there's the reciprocal opportunity to go to the horse races. Jesus. I'd better get a paper round as well as the day job.

It took me four years to get off the waiting list into full membership and I've been a member for 5 years now. Must admit that I'm not over enamoured that you get emails from mid November asking for renewals and you have to be paid up by 31st December yet they can't get you a membership pack before the first event of the year in March.

The reason the packs can't be sent earlier is that the yearbook takes a while to get sorted ( it's printed in the far east). Having the pack in time for the march breakfast club won't matter. The breakfast club is run by the GRRcompany, not the GRRclub. Gassing Station | Goodwood Events | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
