It's quite different to the summer ball. Cost is way less, wine allocation is up and we blow £8k on fireworks each night. We also go onto 01.00 hrs and the band is brilliant. Were very close to selling out on both Thursday and Friday so you would need to make your mind up soon. I admit that we haven't got the formula quite right yet for the Summer Ball but the Christmas Celebrations are ace...

Hope to see you there..

Interesting comments! without jumping on this thread, how come the Summer Ball is not right yet? and how come you can get the Christmas Celebrations right? my wife is still waiting for a reply from the feedback survey from the summer ball!

I wish I knew why it doesn't work as well as the Xmas party. The formula is a good one with the reveal of the central feature and the reception in the bonhams marquee - I guess the main problem is that the only people likely to come along are those who are coming to FoS for the whole weekend and there aren't too many of them. There's also a problem with accommodation for obvious reasons.

Re the feedback - unless a specific question has been asked as park of the feedback response, we would not usually reply but we do use the feedback to find out which aspects of the evening the guests likes and which elements they thought could do with improving.

I will look into your feedback form and get a response to your wife.. Could you PM me as I'm not 100% sure who you are!

Cheers,
J

I did the Christmas ball a couple of years back. It was a fantastic night. The food was very nice, there was a live band after dinner, and watching the fireworks with a glass of hot mulled wine finished it off perfectly. We even got to have a mooch at the Canalettos out the back. All in all a very enjoyable night. I'm rarely about these parts at this time of year, if I was I'd definitely go again.
