Revival parking for low cars
Discussion
Hello...
I am going to the Revival on Friday and was wondering whether I could take a GT3 RS. The front is fairly low to the ground and on tall grass can start to rip into brake ducts, etc
I assume public parking will be on grass. Any experience whether parking areas are flat? or the grass fairly well cut? or any other concerns with taking your P&J to public parking? Are the spaces tight with high potential for door dings?...or do you keep to your daily runner only?
Thanks.

Bit of a gamble really. Having been past GW a few times in the last couple of days efforst are being made to make the car parking pretty tidy. Yeah it's on grass, and although it's not a cricket pitch it's not the a rain forest either.
I've taken the Seven in previous years and had no issues but going in the Defender this time on the basis that, although the car park at any petrolhead event is usually of interest, it's what's going on over the road at Revival that matters. And the forecast ain't great this year either

You should be fine, I use to go in a Ferrari 355 for years and encountered no problems. The only thing is pick your entry and exit carefully most are flat but the odd one is too ramped but genrally you should be OK and the Marshalls will helpI am going to the Revival on Friday and was wondering whether I could take a GT3 RS. All, thanks for your feedback.
It would appear that I could chance the RS. I'll see the final weather forecast for tomorrow this evening and make the final call. Even if it is not a pre-66 car, the 996 RS colours do hark back to the '72 911 RS and therefore feels like an appropriate chariot to take to the event!

One thing to watch out for is if there is the metal roadway in the car park you use. When these are laid they do not ensure there is not a large drop at the end of the metal. When your front wheels drop over the edge the lower parts of your car can contact the metal roadway damaging it. In my case it broke 2 exhaust manifolds. I wrote to the organiser who didn't even have the good manners to reply.
