review of campsite

And we are back at home with the wife and kids....

Well what did we all think? This was my first year at FOS, and I rate it up there with the best of Silverstone and almost as good as Le Mans. Did the whole hog this year, including grandstands and a day at the Porsche cafe le mans.

Camping? - all in all things were very good, except when the water was off, and then when it was on, were the showers warm? were they fk!! I had to get up at 5am for a "warm" shower this morning..I have to say, the showers and toilets were very clean, im used to houx standards..

All in all, a great goodwood experience, will be back.

Whats the behaviour like in the camping area? I have often thought about going but if its full of oiks I would rather not!

very good, no problems at all. Security very good, and the goodwood shop was nice (if not very expensive)

I thought the campsite was great. The toilets and showers were clean, an enough of them that there were no queues except at peak time 0900. The shop was great, had all the right things. Bit expensive but good quality stuff. Loved the cheese. The security angle was good too.

There was no noise onsite, the only noise really was the band at the hotel. They were good on Friday and Sunday, but the ones on Saturday were really bad. Still, not the campsite's problem.

I had hot showers when I wanted, the toilets were clean, had paper and soap, and I left my pans and chairs lying around and they didn't get stolen, and no-one kept me awake with screeching or generators. The more I think about it, the better it was. BTW I'm comparing it with Le Mans, LM Classic, and F1 camping.
