Hi folks,

I'm thinking of attending the FOS this year for my first time, but to get into the spirit of things camp the weekend, the Fri/sat/sun is most likley but i also have the Thursday off work too. Looking for some advice really..

It's likley that there may only be 2 of us attending and the on-site camping is very expensive..
Are there any local solutions for campnig you guys can reccomend which would likley be more cost effective?

I've been to FOS for the past 10+ years, and always stay at the Bunn Leisure Campsite in Selsey on friday and saturday night. A camping pitch is £55 for two nights, and includes free entry to their various clubs, bars, & kids facilities. Takes about 15 mins to drive to Goodwood, although the traffic is usually horrendous. Details on www.bunnleisure.co.uk if you're interested.

People keep saying how Goodwood camping is very expensive. £155 for 4 people for 4 nights in such a good place doesn't seem so bad at all, or am I missing something?

How many you need? We have 2 pitches and could possibly squeeze 2 people on.

we have two cars (but that can become 1 car) two people and a tent - worse case only staying friday night

btw - we are both clean and well behaved (well some of the time)

me and may mate are on the Goodwood campsite again this year. 12 man tent for 2 of us!!!

If you get stuck and dont get anything sorted, i'm sure we could squeeze a tent on our pitch but you'll have to bring some BBQ food and cider / beer with you wink

Look out for a Yellow Megane RS250 with a PH smilie (if the sticker arrives on time)

many thanks for the offer I am still in a jam, thanks for the offer - just not sure how to get into the campsite without a ticket to pitch?

if there is a way, then you may have some well behaved clean (ish) neighbours

Not too sure, you may be able to blag your way on, explaining you're meeting people on the campsite but they have the tickets, etc.

Last year we got a couple of friends on with one car by leaving their registration with the security hut then they just parked up on our pitch for the day

same here, this will be our eighth year there i think. The pool is lovely and we always try to get back there in time for a sauna and swim after a long day walking around the festival.

if you want to get in a bit quicker try going around and approaching from the north. take the 2145 from selsey. go east on the a27 until the next roundabout and the turn left onto the a259 into the town centre. once you get onto the one way system look for the a286 to midhurst. take the a286 to singleton then turn south to the festival site.
we've done this every year after getting stuck the first time and we've never had to queue at all since.

Just wondering if anybody wants to share the cost of their campsite at the Goodwood Revival. I am flying there in a scruffy single seat biplane. Just need a small space for my tent (one person, no car. obviously). Understand all the non electric pitches are gone.
