Hi folks...

I've been thinking, and thinking (and drooling and drooling) about owning one of these wonderful autos, but I live in New England (specifically southern CT) where the roads are awful. I was wondering how a car with such low nose clearance in the front fares up here. I'm particularly concerned about speed bumps and potholes. How do you all manage to live with the road hazards up here?

If you're familiar with the roads you'd be travelling it's not much of a problem. I avoid taking my '95 S4s on I-95. The construction, trucks and an insane amount of debris on the roadside pose risks to both myself, and more importantly, the car! Rt. 8 and 15 are nice drive with both a light and heavy foot.

I'd have to say the biggest problem I've run into, which is not Connecticut specific, is pulling in and out of parking lots. It takes a bit of preparation in order to navigate the ridiculous dips between the roadway and the lot itelf. I've destroyed a few radiator fans on my old '79 S2 because of this.

Living up here in Western Massachusetts with my Esprit is getting difficult with road construction. I learn the bad spots, crawl over the dug up road, and hope my windscreen doesn't get hit from an SUV pitching up a rock in the opposite lane! Otherwise,
just be careful and you will enjoy the ultimate driving experience!!!!
