Hi All,
The brother in law is considering selling his much treasured Esprit. He has ownes it for about 8 years and it is rather unique in that whilst being imaculate it has a V6 conversion in it! It is an s3 in white (the best colour) and beautifully maintained.

This is it a few years ago at his wedding.


Any ideas on what he should aks for it? That is if he actually goes through with it!!!

Ha Ha Ha - yes sounds inetersting doesn't it! My brother in law didn't do the original conversion but has improved it no end over the years. The new engine is the renault V6 from the GTA, a great engine. I think in its standard format outputs around 240bhp, but much more torque than the lotus engine. I will try and get some pictures of it in situ for you. The gearbox is the same but he hss removed the air conditioning, not sure that was a good idea or not. We reckon by testing it against my TVR that it comfortably does 0-60mph in about 5-6 secs and have had it up to 140mph - it would go faster (not on the public roads you understand), not amazing but that's not why it was done. Relaibility is much better than the lotus unit but much more cooling has had to have been added. The interior is pretty much standard aprt from a few more censors for the turbo temperature, exhaust temp and water injection. If I can convince him I will get some details down and post them here for you.
