I have found out the expensive way that it is a waste of time messing about with the front shocks/springs of your turbo. By all means change to uprated springs, but do not lower the ride height, it turns the car in to an understeering crashy lump. Do oyu think that you can do better than lotus in the chassis development dept ?? I don't think so.

The rear is a different matter and has always been set too high in my opinion, i replaced the rear shocks and springs with adjustable spring platforms from S & J sportscars Devon. Very easy to do and you can set the ride height with the car off the jacks and on its wheels. Turn the shocks up hard at the rear and keep the standard setup at the front. I tested different settings at the Nurburgring and thats what I ended up with, as it totally eliminated any understeer at the front and gave you throttle controlled oversteer on demand. Make sure that you do not lower the rear any more than the minimum ride height stated in the factory workshop manual as it screws up the aerodynamics.

Make sure you get a full geometry check after you lower it as it will mess up camber settings etc.
