Esprit 2002 - last one?

Hello guys,

I've been hearing this from some sources already (my local Lotus dealer in Switzerland, as some Esprit sites) that the Esprit 2002 version will be the last to come and that production has already ceased. If this is really true, then I'm really saddened, as the Esprit was always the car and has a history that goes way back.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I guess I just had to come here and see what other think about it. Will they ever be a new one or will Lotus just continue with the Elise/Exige/M250? I sure hope so...

2003 is purportedly the last model year. They are still in production according to Lotus Cars USA. (I had to have a part "off the line" for my new carbon fibre binnacle sold to me by LCU. So if they were not in production, there would be no "line")
