V8GT binnacle removal

I'm trying to install an alloy dash mask and the LEW guide says to remove the two allen bolts on the underside of the top part of the binnacle and "Lift and slide off top of binnacle towards rear of car." Sounds easy, but my binnacle is not coming out. It's loose, but it still feels like there is a screw holding the front of the binnacle down, and I hesitate to tug any harder than I have been. If anyone has removed the binnacle and has any tips it would be greatly appreciated. Mike

No it's just a small meal tongue. It might help to press the rear of the binacle down slightly to help the tongue past the lip on the underside of the dash.
