Changing hoses to charcoal canister. '90 Esprit
Discussion
Has anyone tried this? My hoses have rotted away in the same manner the tank crossover hose did a couple of years back. That was fairly easy to replace.
I am finding it really tough to get at the hoses that run from the RH tank filler tube down to the canister through a hole in the metalwork. No room to work in there.

Thanks for the reply. It was tough, and I have only one of the larger diameter hoses connected. That's the one from the canister to the roll-over valve.
The other one is connected to the nipple marked "AIR" on the tank on one end, but I don't know where the other end goes.
I am sure it also went through the hole in the bulkhead, but to what?
Since these hoses must have rotted on everybody's cars by now, how come the replacnent job hasn't been mentioned as far as I can tell????

That hose is used as the air supply to backflush the gasoline out of the carbon and opens when the solenoid activates to pull vacuum from the engine. It is just an open ended hose. I put the open end of mine into the little nook between the coolant header tank and the back of the relay cluster box. Be sure it is not obstructed.
