Fund Raising Esprit

Took some time out to help raise funds for Cancer Research at our Village Gala at the weekend. They were promoting their upcoming Soapbox Derby so a sports car seemed entirely appropriate. As well as attracting folk to the pitch we offered a prize draw for a ride in the Esprit in return for a minimum £1.00 donation - well over 100 folk signed up and when I phoned the winner Saturday evening he was ecstatic, as was his son who had his picture taken sat in the drivers seat earlier in the day. Nice to know an old motor (with an even older driver) can still be cool!
Well done that man 
In Antibes just last week I had a couple in a mat black F599 on Monaco plates stop and reverse 50m back up the road just to say "Thats nice, what is it?"
