Thinking of facelifting my 2000 esprit. Where do you get round tailight assembly and the twin centered/cheesegrater exhaust assembly. Thanks.

There are two main ways of doing the modification. The first is to use a Genuine Parts light panel and associated brackets etc, this will involve some cutting of the bodywork of your car. It's nail-bitingly disruptive to the paintwork but gives a factory look to the end result.
The second is to use one of the generic aftermarket light panels which still means a small amount of cutting, but in unseen areas of the light fittings. These are okish from a distance but do have an unfortunate 'double ridge line' just above where the rear bumper meets the body.

There's a brief insight into fitting one of the aftermarket kits here.

Genuine Parts for the factory look are obviously available from your local dealer but the aftermarket stuff can be purchased from either somewhere like Paul Matty's or SJ Sportscars.

Hi there,

I have an install guide on my site when I fitted a full panel rear round light kit and had to cut the bodywork
http://espritperformance.com/espritperformance/ind...

For exhaust, I fitted an aftermarket twin exit one but recently I bought a genuine Lotus one. I still have the aftermarket one if you are interested.

If you decide to go for this conversion and get stuck getting hold of parts, I can help you with this.

I can get hold of various different parts for these upgrades and can also get hold of a new style LED light kit as shown on my car

Hi Mike,

I didn't realise it was you. Received your email thanks. I am glad the S350 arrived in NZ in one piece! Have you had it registered yet?
You have PNM and my details. Either one of can supply these parts.

Hi David, Hasn't been certified yet. Soon I hope. I'm itching to take it into some decent curves.
Your retrofit is brilliant! I take it the exhaust in the picture is the Lotus one rather than the aftermarket one? I have the closest Lotus dealer (400 km away from me!) searching but I hadn't heard back so started to enquire on my own. Perhaps if you can fit the tailight panel and exhaust in a suitcase I'll shout you a ticket to NZ and you can help me put it together???!!!

Hi Mike,

Here's a picture of the exhaust when it was new. The welds are a little rusty now but they can be cleaned up. Next picture shows it fitted to the car.
As luck has it, it's made up in two halves so I could put it in a suitcase and fly over!! Now sure what customs and security would say? LOL!

Mike (wingman), I own these cars remember consult with me first on any mods. First thing you should be doing is stocking up on Clyde Village Pinot N to rattle around in the footwell when I am down next for our picnic.
