Air filter to the Lotus Esprit V8

Has anybody replaced the original air-filters on an Esprit V8 to KN-filter och BMC-filter (or other brands with high performance)? I would appreciate some guidance here! /Mats

Several guys have replaced with K&N's but I opted for the ITG Oiled-Foam filters. Les Twiggs in the UK can source the proper ones and ship anywhere. The original papers are a bit restrictive, so the "upgrade" is worth it IMO.

You can fit yourself. Its a bit tight getting to all the screws holding the air box - i had to buy a tiny socket set to get in there.. but no mods required.

I like the K&N's just becuase of "wooshing" sound (even idling), however anything over the standard "brick wall" filters will give you a small performance improvement

Les Twiggs matched up a Pro-Filter replacement. They fit fine and appear to work well.
