I was in the black S-type jag

Sounded very nice so i guess you have a sports exhaust fitted i could hear the turbo or turbo's spinning up nicely.

Nice car in super condition

This V8 sounds like Chris Baugh's. He has 3 Esprits, a green and a yellow V8 and an S3 turbo.

This 'one post a day' thing is just on this forum, or the even
slower yahoo forum that can manage just one or two posts a month.
It's embarrassing that when internet forums die they are left to
limp along and give newcomers the impression they represent an owner
community.

It's sad that some folk visit here and think it stands for Esprit
owners, if i were considering buying an Esprit and came here then
it would be enough to put me off. Have said this before but i've
honestly put down healthier pets than this forum.

It's embarrassing. Shut it down and make Esprits look cool again.

Lotus Esprit Forum gets 100 to 150 posts on average A DAY.

As i write, LEF has had 117 posts so far TODAY, thats
about FOUR MONTHS worth of activity on this forum.

We can have over 500 members online in a single day.

This place used to be really busy.

Then Lotus Esprit World appeared and this forum completely died.

It is pretty weird how these things work out. The Caterham forum on Pistonheads is pretty busy, despite (or maybe because of) the competition.
