LOTUS ESPRIT TURBO S4 NO Item number: 120308025518 on e bay hi i have been offered a swap for the above car for my m5 i no nothing of these cars its got good history loads spent on it any advice is welcome the aboce car willstand me at 10800 thank you

For whatever reason that's been for sale for a long while (not suggesting anything, just pointing it out). I personally would not use Ebay to buy such a potentially expensive car without thorough checks first. Why not join the Lotus Esprit Forum, there are a couple of members there selling S4s that have a known history (inc a red one like this)

LC is spot on. The LEF is an excellent source for purchasing or learning about Esprits. People there are a friendly bunch and if there is anything to know about an Esprit, someone there will have the experience to share.
An Esprit can be a great car to own as long as the owner takes the time and effort to become knowledgable about their car. Youi have to be an "enthusiast" and perhaps a bit of a nut case, ( I say that in a nice way), to own one. Those that do make the effort are usually rewarded with a great driving experience.
