Would I fit in an Esprit
Discussion
I'm 6'2" and I've sat in a bunch of esprits 98 on so this is the 'new' interior. Have to say I find it a close fit.
Anyway I had a lot of dicussions about this on here, but there really is no substitute for going and trying, so go find one and sit in it (and if you're planning to track it take a lid and try that for size too...)

agree with Mr T - am over 6 foot (but thin) and had no trouble. I think there was slightly more room in early Esprits than new ones (in my experience anyway). The ones with the removeable glass roof panel give you a little extra head room as well.
Alternatively I have a bone saw and some catgut around here someplace - what height would you like to be?

If you are really big then short of taking up Night's generous offer of open knee surgery you might find that a cerbera is worth a look.
Having sat in a few on my quest for the right car I can testify that even if you are a lanky b*stard and have (as thay say) biffo the style feet a cerb is ok. I found with an esprit that I coudn't wear by big trainers and not step on two pedals at once.
On that note, anyone know why the esprit pedalbos is so impossibly small? It's not as if the engines down there or anything...

No, but the front wheel is..!
It is possible to modify the pedal box - check out Dave Nick's v8-Gt:

Hi guys.
I am 6'6" and could drive a friends '89 Esprit Turbo but it was bloody cramped and my knee rubbed on the door panel quite alot.
If you're thinking of getting a TVR then fear not! I owned a Griff 500 for 3 years and it was probably the most comfy car I've ever had! All TVR's are made to fit Peter Wheeler who is 6'5" so Cerby, Chimp, Griff are all more than big enuff for you!
