OK posted this on LEF to but here goes

Has anyone fitted an Accusump to a 910 (2.2)engined Esprit and if so where and by whom and how much and and and and/....

Any help appreciated as I get low preesure during start up (well, none for a few seconds) and surge is a great concern when hard braking cornering etc.

cheers

i have a 2 quart mounted up front just behind the desperation tyre. had to do the work myself. simply made a Y in the oil lines pre oil filter. no check valves were necessary. if you have or can borrow a tool to attach fittings to a cut oil line, then that's all you will need.

Nice one Teigan. Do you find your gauge reading stays constant or never drops below the set level?

cheers

i assume you mean the main oil gauge.

because it is a passive system, it should ideally read a constant. only time this will change is if you exceed the 2 quart limit. my pressure does go down if my car doesn't start up the first try. so essentially, it is no worse than running without the accumulator. a bit better, since 2 Quarts will give me a good 20 seconds of full oil pressure. it slopes off from there.
