What to choose

Hi, I am wondering if somebody can help. I am looking to purchase an Esprit this year, i've done all my home work about the car and what to look out for, but am undersided as to what model. I like the S4 and the V8S, but have read articles that say the V8S can be trouble.(HELP)

Depends what your budget is. If you can afford a post 98 on or even better a post mid 2000 V8 then go for a V8.
If you are doing a lot of miles or are worried about running costs then go for post 98 GT3.
Only go for a pre 98 V8 if you really want one but this is where you may experience your problems (each car is different but there are some known problem).
If budget is low teens then go for S4 or early GT3.

Hi I would go for an S4, i owned one and the clutch went it cost £700 if it had been a V8 it would have been £3500 as they have a twin plate set up!, as for a gt3 yes their younger but they are slower than the S4 as an all round esprit the S4 is the one i would suggest but remember they are not cheap cars to run anyway no matter what model you go for, do your home work
