Lotus Esprit ? GT3? V8?

Hi all,

Can anyone give me more information on the later Esprit's?

Which are the cars to go for? The S4? GT3?

I am tempted by the proposition of a GT3 but it appears they need to be worked quite hard?, I am much more a torque man so guessing the V8 would be more my cup of tea.

How are the V8's/GT3 for reliability? What would I be able to buy for £15k (GT3's seem in range, but V8's seem to fetch more?)

Do these cars require cambelt changes?

Mate, get onto Lotus Esprit World and the Forum. There's lots to read up on.

Hi as mentioned Lotusespritworld for all the models, servicing etc.
If you have 15K to spend your better off with a S4 or GT3.
V8s are expensive to run but you cant beat the torque they are great to drive. Good luck

I fancy a GT3, as my mate just bought an S4S, but they seem very rare.

And is there any words of wisdom / caution regarding the one in the clasified's? Its been around a while.

Personally, if I was to go back to Stevens Esprit, it would be the S4s.

However, I doubt there is a right answer...whats better - an Xbox or Playstation.... There will always be warriors for each.

As been suggested, lots of specific forums to argue it out on.
