The Eagles are stranded

Changed my wheels today and fitted my spare set. They are shod with a "Nangkang" Taiwanese type I've never heard of but the old "Eagles" had to come off due to severe lack of tread....

Only did 7000 miles on the rears! I will now take the chance and refurbish my original set in anticipation for the new tyres. So I will have to do some searching for what is the best alternative to the old Goodyear Eagles.

I ran Bridgestone S02s on an S4 Esprit and they were very good. Lots of grip especially in the wet.

Actually, the "Nangkangs" seem to be fine ! Most people seem to rate the TOYO ones.

Will see how they fare.
