If it is the internal bits you need (Hall Effect coil etc), replace that stuff with the Pertronix internal bits. This also replaces the Amplifier. JAE sells the part for not much money and they work great.

These guys have one that just drops into the D45.

Ended up being a dodgy coil that had blown the the AB14 unit. Luckily not too expensive (£50 parts from www.lotusbits.com). Just hard to diagnose!
