THAT looks nice!!! so far i have been unimpressed with the artist drawings etc.

Now... if they will put a proper clutch and not only off that semi automatic crap that is getting so popular... I'll have one! If not... I swear I'll jump ship back to Ferrari and continue to buy up the older Esprits.

The car pictured is a real beauty though!!!

Your very wrong, i pulled it from another source, just stumbled across it.

I know someone who's seen this very car, it was pale blue, apparently looked very tasty as the cover was back over the windscreen so you could see the front end. He was collecting his Esprit at the time.

The scan you found is actually hosted on the Topspeed site (check the pic url); it is they who appear to have 'borrowed' it from me (compare the two scans and you'll see what I mean). Cheeky beggars have even superimposed their 'watermark' on it...

Ten four, Tentenths, no offense taken, i hadn't really looked at it to be honest, i was too busy trying to find out if that was the actual vehicle/scenario my mate saw as all i got from him when he picked his car up was, "Yeah, i saw this really tasty looking car under a silver cover, the front was exposed and it looked really nice."
So i emailed him the same link and he says, "yeah, thats the one".

Is it just me that gets a bit when manufacturers bring out a new car that clearly is not a development of what went before, yet they call it the same thing? I'm thinking Cortina, Escort, Fiesta, Corolla, MR2 etc.
So this thing is clearly NOT an Esprit, you'd think Lotus would/should have the balls to let it create its own identity. After all, even though the Esprit followed the ethos of the Europa, they didn't use that name for it...

So in reality, no one knows what the new Esprit will look like, what engine it's going to have, how it's going to cost or when it's available.

Or can anyone answer any of the above? I've heard rumoured 2009 for launch but originally it was 2007, so I@m not holding my breath.

Any news would be appreciated.

I have to agree with you there, There's a lot of speculation as to what it will or will not look like. I know what it may look like, but as usual cannot say due to confidentiality issues.
Just keep the guess work going, it's causing some of us some mild amusement as to what everyone else thinks it will or will not be.
