lotus Esprit1981 will not go in revese when hot

have a 1981 esprit after alonge run will not go in to reverce till it cools down has any body got any info

if you've still got the plastic hydraulic hose to the clutch slave cylinder, its probably going soft and expanding when hot(less clutch travel) Try replacing it with a braided steel jobbie, available from most lotus specialists.
