Excuse my ignorance but I am posting this on behalf of an Esprit owner who is currently in the middle of the Med at the moment. He needs to get hold of some new tyres for the Esprit, both front and back. What currently is the best to get hold of and how much are we looking at. I think he has two sets of wheels for the Esprit, one is the originals 195/60 F and 205/55 R (15inch) and also 205/55 F and 255/50 rear (16inch). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now theres a question! It was originally a S3 I believe but he has changed it vastly even down to putting a different engine in it from a renault GTA..... Dont ask me why.

well my S3 takes 195's on the Front and 235's on the Rear

I remember a white one for sale a while back.
I nearly went to look at it but time & money didn't allow...

As for tyres, there are loads of options on etyres, mytyres, tyretrader & black circles. IIRC the tyres are quite square to the road so Avons with the square shoulder would appear to be quite good for the price (says the man that's just put falken 512s on his car)...
