blimey, could be almost anything.

can you hear the fuel pump prime when turning the key to the start position? It should hum for a few secs.

are your ignition coil packs ok? I wouldn't know how to check these but someone must.

it must be either fuel, spark or power to turn it over. You've checked turnover so fuel and spark are left. can you check the spark yourself? is fuel being pushed to the injectors?

My knowledge is limited. someone out there must be able to help more. sorry

Well, you checked the plugs, but did not say if they were wet. If the plugs are wet with fuel, you have got fuel... Spark is the issue. Could be a number of things for sure, but pull the plug wires from the wells, attach a new plug to the number one wire (but do not put the plug back in place).

Get a buddy for help with this next part.

You can take a steele screw driver with a rubber or plastic handle, hold the plug to the screw driver shaft while the shaft tip is grounded to the motor. Get your buddy to spin the motor over - if you have spark then you will see and hear it (this is easiest in limited light of course). If you have spark at this point, then it can be assumed that the coil is okay (in the case of multiple coils this of course has to be repeated). However, even if one coil was bad it could prob start and run like crap.

You noted that some minor work was done, if you get spark as noted above, explore the simple posibility that the wires are in the incorrect position at the coil pack... it has happened to the best of us...

Good luck and drive topless!!!
