Kevin Gearbox Guru tells me that he is planning a weekend event in about 8 weeks. It will be for any Renault UN1 gearbox cars and will be a "DYNO SHOOT OUT DAY"!! See who has the most BHP !! If he gets enough takers, the cost will be about £35 a car. He needs a good idea of numbers so please e-mail him if you are interested. I think it will be a weekend thing and it will take place at Torque of the Devil in Uxbridge. (Somewhere near Heathrow in West London) For once, the interesting stuff is in the UK !!
Kevin is the man you want when your gearbox conks out (Which it will pretty soon if you have a V8, S4s etc...) Mine made it to 45K and then died in a big way. I got a replacement close ratio taller geared bullet proof 'box with a Quaife torque biasing limited slip differential for less than the price of a Lotus 'box or even a main dealer repair of the faults !! Brilliant !! An upgrade to take 500BHP for less than the price of a regular repair!! He's a gent and very helpful in a crisis. His CV bears witness...all those rock stars can't be wrong.....
