Lots & lots & lots & lots of info on the espritforum, Sunday is the Esprit day as normal, this is the first year in he last 4 I wont be going, cracked exhaust manifold to blame for that. (Booked in to SW Lotus on Wednesday.)

Its a good day out, take warm clothing as its always bloody freezing & lots of money for the burger van. 2 hot dogs & 2 coffees cost more than a tenner eek

I don't go to the Esprit forum as it is moderated by socialist idiots with a God complex who despise any free thought or opinions not mirroring their own.

Perhaps you could divulge the location here for the rest of us?

Thanks!

Incidentally, I went a couple of times a few years back and its held in an old cattle shed (large one) and most of the stalls are filled with rusty old rubbish from long dead Lotus models that you or I have never heard of.
I have heard though that Lotus themselves appeared with a car last year (ISTR) and it is improving.
The best bit was the 'blat' up there...

Mark 4,5,6, (keep counting from 1 to 100 and you get most of the racing vehicles) Seven, Elan x 2, Eclat, Europa, Esprit, Excel, Elise, Exige.. (I know, I'm sure I've missed a few)

There really aren't that many road cars to have heard of, and they're all quite memorable really

But yes, rusty shed and no Lotus presence. On the other hand, it's a nice day to browse and see a different view of the marque.

You thinking of Stoneleigh? Thats the cattle shed, this event at Donington is at the race track.

Sorry to hear bad words about the Esprit Forum, the mods work hard to make it informative & useful for all Esprit owners, the factory tour last year was amazing & the guys worked very hard to make it happen. If it wasnt for those guys at LEW/Esprit Forum owning an Esprit wouldnt nearly be as enjoyable. (& it would be alot more expensive)

How's it going Nancy? Reported anybody for expressing an opinion lately?

BTW, I saw your post attempting to snipe users from another forum. Musta sucked when the mod there pulled your thread. It's nice to see others who don't take kindly to your douche-baggery.

Think you're a little confused on this Jimmy.

The respective owners of both forums you allude to contribute quite openly to one and other's forums, without a problem. IIRC that particular thread was pulled because of your comments rather than anyone else's!

Oh I see, it's my fault. The whole thread had to go rather than just my replies to it. Makes perfect sense now. Thanks for clearing things up.

While you're straightening things out, here's something that perplexes me:

Why would the moderator of another forum 'contribute quite openly' with someone whose FIRST AND ONLY visit to his site up to that point consisted of an attempt to snipe users? That's like saying while he was in Burger King telling the people in line about how great his burgers were across the street, Ronald McDonald was 'contributing quite openly' with BK's establishment.

I also don't understand why all of the predators on the internet are creepy old men. It's nice of you guys to keep following me around. If one of you EspritForum mods were even remotely attractive it might not be so...well, yucky.

I just did a quick search of the forum that LEF claimed was 'contributing with quite openly' - and found only one post - it was a link to LEF's site advertising an LEF gathering. I know that there was a second post, but that one was deleted by the moderator (for douche-baggery I suspect).

Perhaps I'm wrong and you could correct me - but at first glance it looks like you guys are full of it (and yourselves). It appears that the only 'contributions' you've made are two posts promoting yourselves. Nice.

Calm down Silver boy, they really aren't THAT bad a bunch. Maybe you/they got off on the wrong foot or something.
Anyways, I've never had a problem that couldn't be sorted with some simple conversation.

Cheers Dude.
