Esprit S2.2 over heat and underpower

My 81 Esprit over heat badly at track, I great on the track but can run for more than 5 laps. Also it a bit on the hot side when drive hard on a hot (34C) sunny day. The car had recent engine services, new head gasket, new water pump, radiator clean and services. Did I need to up grade the fans or water pump (such as high flow electric pump). Last owner had lower the suspension, it may had make it worst with our climate. Any suggestion?

Get overtake on the straight by WRX and 911, any suggestion on getting more power out of the 2.2 engine. Looking for 100ps more

Well, the N/A has only 160 bhp so 911s and WRXs *will* overtake you ! Also, your top speed is only 135 mph. 20 years ago it was quite fast, but not any more. There is no way you could add another 100 bhp to this car. Even the turbo version (s3) has only 50 hp more than yours.

On the overheating problem, mine's been getting hot. The two areas I looked at were a) The temp sender was not reading correctly so it did not turn the fans on when it should. Do the fans come on at all ?

b) The raditor can become very clogged up. Try using a hose pipe and washing it from the fans side. This might help a bit.

But the S2 only weight 1000 Kg, so if i got another 100 ps more. Can eat WRX.
Know of any after market turbo, intercool and piston for S2.2?
Yes, the fan sometime turn on later. But even when on, it not cooling it back down to normal when going over 110mph.
