S2 advice please

My heater is poor. ie not much heat. Also the fan makes nasty rubbing noises and with winter approaching I will need both. What is the best way to access it?
The car has aftermarket wheels (15" turbo style) but wear patterns are not good. What are the recommended geometry settings for the front suspension?
