My mechanic just replaced the rear-passenger side hub (US$550 with labor), which he thought was causing the anti-lock brake light to flash (the computer diagnostic noted that the problem was in this area). Well, it's still flashing. Anybody know what else could be the problem? Thank for the help.

Wheel sensor, grooves in hub either dirty and damaged, electrical or ABS accuator not holding enough pressure (this would probably show up as fully lit but not sure).
Is your brakes dragging or handbrake catching?
When does it flash? After start-up, when driving down the road, after you have applied the brakes for the first time? Any odd noises just when it flashes or during?

Cheers,

I had the flashing ABS light, and in my case it turned out to be the accumulator. Here is a web site that has some good (and simple) ABS diagnostic tips. It's covers the Delco-Moraine ABS systen which is very similar to the ABS system in the SE.

I had the same problem on my S4, the ABS light was just flashing but not all the time, it turned out to be the pressure switch. I was originally told by a garage that it may be a very expensive job but as luck would have it it was about £59.00 plus labour - phew!!

Good luck....
