I picked up my Esprit from Yesteryear Motorsports yesterday...had a chargecooler rebuild, new rear side marker, B service and general once-over.

While I was there, I took a few pictures of Jaime's new shop...he has a lot of Esprits in for service and repair right now. I posted the pics on my site (removed the plates to protect the innocent.)

It was a fun trip...got to see a lot of Esprits in one place, but also a rare glimpse of them all in various states of disassembly.

Check it out, www.metalasylum.com/evilyn

Go to the images section, and choose the Yesteryear gallery. He's got a sweeeeet X180R being prepped for the track in there!

hi mike

Your car looks really good. Those kinesis rims really make the car look modern.

Agree that X180R looks lovely. Also spotted andy wheeler's car in there too..

Cheers
Rob

Thanks. Note on Andy Wheeler's Esprit. He posted pictures of his cleaned up and powder coated engine on this board a few weeks or so back.

They do not do the engine justice...not even close. I just about started drooling when I saw it in the flesh. It's an amazing job, and he's got the nicest looking engine I've seen.

Edited to add: By the way, these aren't stellar pics by any means, but I have them in much larger 1024 x 768 size...if anyone wants them, just send me an e-mail with which pics you want and I'll shoot them over to you.

Hi Mike,

Must say that the shop you have pictured doing the work is prestine! And Andy's s4, well is just amazing. Such a small world. If you get a chance to talk to Andy, let him know I said "Hi!" His wheels use to be on my car! I wished my car was black!

Cheers,
Dindo

Dindo,

I was like a kid in a candy store in there. Granted, it is a brand new shop. He's only been in there a few months I believe. But yes, it is very well kept. I wish my car had been done a couple weeks ago. As for yesterday, he had already pushed all the V-8s through the door. He had as many as 15 Esprits wedged in there at one point.

I really like taking my car there for service. It's not cheap (when are Lotus techs ever?) but he really loves the cars. Like I said, he called me this morning to see how the drive home was. He calls every once in a while to see how the car is, or to tell you about a Lotus event, etc. Great mechanic.
