Is this from a main dealer? Does it include installation and all ancillaries? (seals, flywheel service/replacement, etc). If so, and if my currency calculator is correct that's probably a good price based on what I was just charged...

Sounds about right. The part alone is 800 quid. Who is this with? Would still suggest shopping around..

Maybe try SJ Sportscars and South West Lotus for a comparison, also Bury Road Garage www.brgclassics.info

cheers
Rob

Don't know the difference between a V8 and a 4 pot clutch, they might differ, but was quoted £530, including replacing the red hose with a stainless one.

Mark - the clutch for the 4 cylinder and the v8 are very different. The v8 has a twin plate unit whereas the 4 cylinder cars have a single plate. I paid 450 fitted for a clutch for my gt3 a couple of years ago from brooke kensington in bicester. The v8 clutch alone costs 800 quid plus the labour to fit. The price kayman has been quoted sounds about right for a fitted price for a v8 clutch from a dealer.
