As a born again Esprit owner, I finally got off my duff and put my car's website together. It was only a year late...that's not so bad is it?

Enjoy...I hope to get more content, i.e. pictures, videos, sound, journal entries etc as I drive my baby more this season.

Hi your car is awesome, like the mods you have done. The CF dash, was that done by yourself?

Errrr hosting a esprit site against "metalasylum.com" Whats that all about, pretty weird kinda sh*t insn't it?
Everyone to their own I guess

Apart from the hosting, very nice website Mike

Yeah, the Metalasylum site is mine...I'm a huge metal fan.

Kylie, all the mods were done by the PO...I've simply maintained the car since. I do plan to add an adjustable suspension in the future (the car sits too high on the Kinesis rims) and perhaps a couple other things, like a new braking system.

I've also talked about rebuilding the turbo with my mechanic at a custom racing shop he uses.

But that's not anytime soon.

Mad Mike - cause Fibreglass Asylum sounds funny.

Nice web site. You are a metal fan? I good friend that I met years ago in 1980(Dave Murray)is just about to retire soon from a UK metal band called Iron Maiden. He keeps saying it's his last tour and will be swinging through the USA this year for a visit.

Yeah, just a little UK metal band called Iron Maiden. Lord, they're one of the pioneers of the british metal invasion, and considered one of the founding fathers of modern metal. That's cool that you got to know him...they're legends.

I started the metal asylum because I used to do web sites for a bunch of modern metal bands. The labels took over most of the sites as time went on, and now I only really maintain the one (Divine Empire). I'm in the process of converting the site. I'll still host the one band, but will host a metal music review site, movie review site: Raging Bull Movie Reviews at www.metalasylum.com/ragingbull and my Esprit and ohter personal sites.

But yeah, I think I'm the only full fledged Esprit-owning metalhead in the land

Mike...

I know it's not metal, but you should check out the new "Hot Action Cop" CD. They did some of the music for NFS:HP2. A couple of words of warning however:

1. If you play it in the Esprit - you will drive faster.

2. If any kids are in the room/car, don't play it - the parents advisory isn't just for show

Ernest,

Thanks for the recco. Though I definately am going to choose a slower paced selection of CDs for the Esprit this time. I was BLARING "The Haunted Made Me Do It" when I got pulled over. It's not so much the car that makes me speed, but the music. Ahhhh, the classic devil-made-me-do-it excuse...hehe.

I introduced him to his wife Tamar who was a roommate of mine. We used to share an apt years ago. Our daughters are about the same age. When he stops by, I will try and take a picture of him in the Esprit.
