Did my side clear indicator conversion today and it only cost £7.99 for the pair from Motorworld!
The problem I had is that the car has been resprayed by the PO and the old colour is underneath the old indicator.
There are some nice small oval ones for the same price which has a bulb like this one. I think it's 58mm long. I had to go for a long oval but they didn't do a universal one, so I had to hack the back off and slice some of the reflector as well because it had a big dish in it.
When anyone else who does theirs, they won't have to do this. All you have to do is make the hole of your existing from 10mm to 20mm diameter. Your old indicator will still go back and hide this hole should you want to revert back.
Another option they ahave are LED type like Alan 89Turbo fitted. They are completely flat and you don;t have to touch the body whatsoever. They cost £11.99 set from Motorworld again but I wasn't fused on the design. Try www.larkspeed.com they are £17.50 set and look a lot better.
Tell a bit of a lie. I've only done one side to take a pic. Doing the other side tommorrow.

If you can't see the pic, here's the website.

Cheers,

Here's a pic of Alan Croft's (89Turbo) side LED type indicators. More pics on website. They look pretty cool hey! You can get the bulb type as well which is the exact same size. Bulb type £7.99 set from Motorworld and £11.99 set fro the LED though Alan's are from www.Larkspeed For approx £17.50 set which IMO look better than the LED from Motrworld.

If this pic doesn't appear then go to the web site

Yes Adrian, it was pretty easy in the end but I still have problems with pics actually staying there, it must be Webshots site.
When do you get your motor back? Give us a bell when you get it. Alan Croft is just getting a twin tail pipe on his 89Turbo. Maybe you should have considered this on yours?

Hi Doors,

Can't find the exact page but look at the following:-
www.larkspeed.com/pages/productpages/styl_triligy2.html
www.larkspeed.com/pages/productpages/styl_triligy1.html
Alan 89Turbo bought his from there last week, why don't you send him an e-mail. I'm sure he would be more than happy to help.

Cheers,

Thanks for putting the pictures on for me Dave, Much appreciated.

I actually bought mine from my local parts shop (a motorworld) purely because the sales guy in Larkspeed p****d me off and messed me around. The indicators aren't featured on larkspeed site but they are made by trilogy Ltd. You could order a larkspeed catalogue or ring larkspeed. They are £17.50 from them in the various colours.

You could also try this link

Hi Dave

If I got a twin pipe I'd have to start modifying the glass fibre rear valance. On older cars there is just a section of wire mesh so that's easy.

I don't get mine back for a couple of weeks yet. I'm on holiday for some of that time as well. The new exhaust will be a bit louder than standard but no too much. When I've got it back I'll give you a shout and we can meet up.

Cheers

Adrian
