Does anyone out there have a 2002 V8 with the round rear lights?
I'm looking for the product code that should be printed on the lights themselves - I think they are by Hella.
Would be really appreciated if anyone out there can have a look for me?
Cheers!

I've had a quick look but can't see anything obvious.

John

Edited to say: don't forget that they're the same lights as used on the MKII Elise - They could be specially made for Lotus.

Wipac make the round lights for Lotus.

www.wipac.com/lighting01.htm

Maybe give them a call and they should be able to help.

Let us know your findings.

Mark Mckenzie not long done this conversion on his. He also lives in the UK and bought his kit from SJ. Try the owners page on www.lotusespritworld.com Don't know where he bought is lights from but he did say that they were off an Elise MKII. If your trying to find them cheaper, try the Lotus Breakers, also on Katos Web site.
Happy hunting

Thanks John,
Actually, I've now found some where that will make the lights in LED style - for half the standard items!

since I'm a moron and still haven't set up my webshots accout yet I downloaded their software, but can't find where I put it!), I can't put a pic on this site. Send me your email address and I'll send you a pic. I'm still waiting to hear back on confirmation of my order - I've now had 3 people ask me, so will see if I can get some bulk discount.

YOu can also buy those lights straight from Lotus. You do have to do a little bit of cutting behind where the lights sit but they look great afterwards. If you have a V-8 you can also do the 2002 exhaust which is also available from Lotus. Not too expensive and that looks really good.

Thanks Chris,

When I rang Lotus they wanted £300 for the standard rear lights (by 4) - but they don't do the LED ones I'm installing.

However, I'd really like to put the twin centre exhaust on my car, but it's a GT3 - 4 cylinder - would it be possible? and how much I wonder is the new rear valence and is hat all I'd have to alter?

Hi there,

Alan Croft (89Turbo) is just about to get his twin tail pipe made for his 4 cylinder turbo. Even though these exit on the outside, your half way there. All they need to do is to mod the tail pipes though on mine, the silencer is right in the way. Not sure whether it's a totally different set-up come to think of it.
As for your rear valance, speak to your body shop and get some advise from them. It'll be far cheaper that way IMO. But also IMO though it looks good, I would just go for the twin outside tail pipes or leave alone.
With the Cost, it isn't really worth it.

Man, that is beautiful. I will have to tell the few people that I know about that. Most of the people in the local Lotus club have 4 cyl cars and I am sure they would love to see that.
Is that custom or does someone mass produce that kit?
