Wednesday afternoon thoughts
Discussion
I'm getting really antsy about getting my license and car back next week.
So, I was checking out Lotii pics, and then picks of other exotics on eBay and such.
I can't emphasize how happy I am with the decision I made in going with an Esprit.
Lambos in general just look too gaudy and overwraught (exception, Murc.) They aren't smooth at all...too much glam.
Ferarris tend to look very dated quite fast. the 308 and 328 look very old. Completely not elegant. The 348 looks quite nice still, but is far too flat and wide in the back...it looks squished. No fluidity. The Testarossa is quite nice still. A little pricey, but has held up nicely. I think the 360 will be timeless, but the other modern ferarris look to sedan-ish to me. But I can't afford a 360.
Jags look beautiful, but compleely unagressive.
The NSX? Not very pretty, looks pieced together. The new one with the non-pop up lights is hideous. And from the rear, it looks too much like every other honda.
The Esprit however, is perfect. Agressive, smooth, incredibly well balanced. It is visually the best balanced car I've ever seen. Not one quality is diminished to promote another.
Just an afternoon thought, but when yall walk up to your cars this afternoon, take a gander, and think of the other exotics in class. IMO, you have the finest looking lot of the bunch.

I completely agree with you. Before I even knew anything about the Esprit I was in love with it over ANY other exotic I have seen. Even now I see 360 Mo's, Porsches, lambos and the SE looks better to me! And you rright about the Diablo, its nice, but its bulky as hell! And plus, believe it or not, I sincerely think the Dodge Viper and the Esprit have the nicest interiors of all supercars I have ever seen.
Forgot to mention Porsches. They might be the ugliest of the bunch (the whole bunch being quite pretty tho...)
The best way to describe them would be bulbous. There is no nice line from front to back on the Porsche.
The Viper looks very novel, but not from all angles. It's a very pretty car from the front, but the rear is quite ugly.
