Has anyone tried, or indeed is it possible, to convert to a limited slip rear end on a Esprit V8?

Yes, can do. Lotus make a Limited Slip Diff, or LSD for the Esprit gearbox and also Quaife make one. Contact your Lotus dealer and/or a Quaife dealer for details.

Is it true the Sport 350 had a LSD as mentioned inthe above linked article?

I did a little research into this a while back.

Lotus informed me that the Sport300 LSD will fit directly to the V8 transmission but was only designed with the 377Nm of torque from the 2.2 four cylinder. There are sure to be some reliability issues with the 400Nm of the V8. Plus, it's still an expensive part!...

The Sport350 doesn't employ a LSD
