Hi Does anyone know, how the choke cable (Esprit Carb. model 1988) are connected to Dellorto carburettors ?
I think my Esprit missing the ckoke and I guess that the reason it's difficult to start the engie when it's cold. (if somebody has picture I'll be grateful).

Hi.

No pic, but the choke cable connects to the rear carb and the rear carb is connected to the choke on the front carb via a wire lever. The choke trunnions are spring loaded to aid in closing the chokes.

But, I never use the choke on my car, no need. When was the last time your carbs were tuned? Or. rebuilt? A bad float adjustment can also make the carbs very tricky to start. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE

Hi Jim
Thaks a again. I haven't rebuilt carb. yet.
I'll do soon (when spring come), I brought carbtune II last month which you suggest.
The problem is when temp is very low ( e.g -5C)and battery has low effect it was hard to start the enigne. I found out that there was Choke on my espirt but it was removed and cut off the choke cable. I checked in Service notes (1988-1992) but only few notes in the book. That's the reason I'm looking for a some pictures how to connect the cable (So, I can see what is missing to connect the cable? ).
