Here I am trying to sell my car and it decided to piss oil all over the floor...
I just had the output seals replaces 1000 miles ago, and I guess the RHS was not installed properly.
Jae is going to send another kit to me.
I have the car up on stands, the roll pins out, the upper link bolt half way out but I am nervous.. does the rear suspension move when I knock that bolt out? which way should I brace myself when this comes apart?

too much coffee maybe.. so far this is a fast repair.. took only half an hour so far..

Make sure you coat the roll pins in silicon before putting them back, this is an often overlooked procedure that results in oil leaking from them.

and top tip when refitting the top link: a jack placed underneath the brake disk can make a massively easier job of lining it all up

The S4s is just saying it does not want to leave just yet.

I had the some issues also. The car worked flawless through the years then on the delivery ride to it's new owner the shifter cable came apart. Luckily I got a spare and a 2 hours later it was back to its normal self. All I oculd figure was the car did not want to go just yet. The car is now in a happy place and I still get to drive it once in while.

my seals arrived yesterday. Was relatively simple to put it back together. I was ready with the jack to help reassemble but I gave it a try first. I just lifted the hub and the bolt pushed in, no big deal at all.
Next challenge was to get the oil fill plug out and also find what oil to put in. THe plug came out with an adjustable crescent wrench, after trying a few other things.
Finding oil was a challenge, there is lots of 75w90 out there but nobody can cross reference the catrol number in the owners manual. I walked out of 2 places that asked if my car was auto or manual. How can people work in a car parts place and think there is a automatic esprit?
I ended up getting redline MTL there are so many who swear by it, I decided to give it a try.
I drilled a hole in the cap, and inserted a length of clear hose, the hole was small enough that the hose is tight and not leaking. Filling up was easy. Well, sorta easy. I only got one litre of oil, when it was not full yet, I measured what was in my catch pan... when the seal was out. there was 1.9 litres there. I am off to get a second litre now.

It might be a good idea to drain out all of the old oil before topping up with a possibly different brand.

Good to hear that it's back together again.
