I'm going to give it a go. Someone on the list has offer me a ibook laptop at cost price and 60 days to pay. Now need to find £1,186 to pay for it.

If everyone on this list and Yahoo! were to donate around £1 it would cover around half the cost. I would put in the rest (from somewhere!) and we would be up and running. I would be able to spend much more time on the site. Traveling everyday on the train could now be used to improve the site. I would also be able to work on it at weekends. The laptop will only be used for the site. As I don't have anything else to do on it (or the time). So I'm not feeling as guilty as maybe I should.

I should be able to get enough Advertising to cover the ISP costs. So shouldn't need to ever ask for anything again. And if I ever lose my job, the site won't be lost as I'll have everything I need to run the site without having to use my company's equipment.

So if you feel you're got £1 worth of information, pictures, knowledge or help from Lotus Esprit World then donate. If you feel I've saved you money and time, send more. If you feel it should be free, then don't send anything. If the donations aren't enought I'll send all the money back (remember to supply return address) and carry on as is.

Sent cheques to:

Lotus Esprit World
22 Tipcat Close
Elstow
Bedford
MK42 9ZA

payable to I D Peters

or transfer into
Sort code: 40-61-99
Acc No.: 09766945

This account is empty and will be used just for Lotus Esprit World.

The only other option is to try and get a sponsor like the EspritFactFile has. But if it's a dealer or supplier then that may restrict the site and it's free speech. Don't want to end up like Club Lotus! Also they wouldn't be too keen on me giving details of other companies that would be of use to the users.

If it works, the site will improve 10x as fast. If it doesn't, then it's still useful.

Thanks for listening

Count me in, Cheque is in tonights post. I've not renewed my membership to Club Lotus and I've certainly benefited far more from your site and the personal help you gave me when I purchased my car.

I hope this works well.

Just transfered £20 in this afternoon. No i'm not flash, money's pretty thin on the ground actually. Well deserved if you ask me. It's good to put a face to a name on Sunday.
Your site really helped me out and also you've let me put a few things on there as well.

1. You helped me out on posted the turbo diagram and notes on your site for me.
2. Letting me put my simple clear front indicator conversion on your site.
3. Becoming a guinee-pig for the ram-air conversion that I got from Steve from SJ.
4. The forthcoming clear instructions on how Iam going to replace my headlights trouble-free.
5. Lastly but not least, the links that you have provided.

I hope this inspire others to put their hands in their pockets.
Kato, keep up the good work!

I will also be sending you a cheque for £20 in the next couple of days (much better value than the club lotus membership!). You provide a great sevice to all us Esprit owners and I don't see why you should be out of pocket, especially when you are already providing your time for free. This is my first year of owning an Esprit, the information Espritworld provided prior to the purchase convinced me an Esprit was the car for me and I continue to find the website of interst a year on. Whether you are intending to buy an Esprit or are a veteran Esprit owner there is something on the website to interest everyone. Keep up the good work, I hope you get a good response. Cheers, Jez U.K.

Thanks for all the donations so far! Nobody
so far has donated just a £1, which is very
generous.

Transfers and PayPal total so far give us
a 8% of the Total. So for those who haven't
donated yet, I still need your £1.

www.golfplc.com

I will be doing a proper thank you on the site as and when I get the chance. iBook should be with me by the end of the week. So once i've loaded the software. I'll be ready to sort the site out.

Laptop arrive yesterday (thanks Golf Computers).

www.golfplc.com

I've managed to load all the software I need to
run the site (while I was supposed to be working
today). So you should be getting some updates
fairly soon, including:

Air filter change (4 cyl. K&N)
full front light install (loads of pics)
Donington 2003 Tour (over 100 pics)
Esprit Production Figures (from Factory)
Update on Donations and iBook (a thank you)

Looking into making some interesting changes to
the site over the next few months. Hope everybody
finds their donations well spent.

Thanks again! I can't believe I've got an iBook
to work on the site with. I'm SO HAPPY.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

p.s. Didn't really get an iBook, spent it all on
lap dances, with extras!!! ;-)
