HELP Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Loose!!!

On my 2000 V8 the drivers side exhaust manifold heat sheild is loose and the rattling is driving me nuts!!

From what I can tell, there is two bolts/screws that hold it in place and it is the one nearest to the front of the motor that is loose, only problem is, it seems almost impossible to get to it (I can barely touch it with my fingers let alone any tool).

Anybody else had this problem and if so do you have any suggestions on the best way to tighten it??

Yes, I have had exactly this problem but my rattle stopped after the engine got warm. There is no easy answer I'm afraid. I got mine welded up when the engine was next out of the car...notice that: "next" out!...Happens a lot to my car, that does!

I worked at dealer for over 6 years with a bit of luck if the bolt has snapped off leaving you a stud you can just about get a welder in there and spot it back on.Problem solved.

Yup....had it welded...two hours labour
