300+ hp Carbed Turbo

Has anyone safely modded their carbed motor (not fuel injection) to produce well over 300hp? This topic has been discussed over the years about mods that can be done but I want to know if anyone has gone to the extreme.

it can be done, but the transmission can barely handle power as it is. if i were to do this at all, a supercharger turbocharger combo would be the way to go. car's running great at the moment though, and i don't want to hex myself with upgrades. there are simpler ways to approach 300. for your car i'd go with some sort of evaporative cooling of the exhaust and intake gases. separate systems of course; water injection and propane injection respectively. these would be actuated as needed by a shift light type of control circuit monitoring the tachometer. all affordable off the shelf stuff designed to suit flexibly.
